1. What GitaLok Is

GitaLok is a daily reading and reflection product built around the Bhagavad Gita. It offers one verse per day, a reflection editor, access to all 700 verses across 18 chapters, and an AI companion called Krishna that responds to what you write.

By creating an account or using the product, you agree to these terms.

2. Not a Substitute for Professional Help

Krishna's responses are generated by an AI (Google Gemini) drawing on the Bhagavad Gita. They are offered in the spirit of wisdom and reflection — not as professional mental health support, therapy, medical advice, or legal counsel.

GitaLok has a crisis detection system that recognises signs of distress and surfaces these numbers automatically — but it is not a crisis service and should never be used as one.

3. Your Account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use GitaLok.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• One account per person. Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent usage limits is not permitted.
• You may delete your account at any time from the Account page.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

GitaLok offers free and paid tiers. Paid features include unlimited Krishna conversations, pre-recorded verse audio (when available), and weekly reflections.

• Payments are processed by Razorpay. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Razorpay's terms.
• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
• Annual subscriptions renew automatically each year until cancelled.
• Lifetime purchases are a one-time payment with no renewal.
• You may cancel a subscription at any time from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — access continues until then.
• Pricing is in Indian Rupees (INR) and includes applicable taxes.

5. Refunds

Please see our Refund Policy for full details. In brief:

• Monthly subscriptions: no refunds.
• Annual subscriptions and Lifetime purchases: refund available within 7 days of payment if the paid features have not been used.

6. Your Content

The notes and reflections you write in GitaLok are yours. We do not claim ownership over your content.

By using GitaLok, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content to you as part of the product — for example, showing your notes on the Reflections page.

We do not share your notes or conversations with any third party, and they are not used to train AI models.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use GitaLok to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the product.
• Use automated tools to make requests to the Krishna API.
• Krishna AI conversations are subject to a fair use limit of 300 conversations per billing cycle. Limits reset on your subscription anniversary date.
• Misrepresent AI-generated responses as your own original spiritual guidance to others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. The Gita Content

The Bhagavad Gita text used in GitaLok (Sanskrit, Hindi, English translations) is sourced from Gita Press, Gorakhpur. The AI-generated alternate Hindi translation is produced by Google Gemini.

We do not claim to offer authoritative scriptural interpretation. The Gita is a living text with centuries of commentary — GitaLok presents one translation as a starting point for personal reflection, not as the final word.

9. Availability

We aim to keep GitaLok available continuously but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Subscription periods are not extended for brief outages.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
